FLOOD
INSURANCE
At JayFernando Financial we offer a wide range
of flood coverage to address your insurance needs, regardless of
whether you own or rent a home, mobile home, condominium, townhouse or
apartment.
Flood damage
is not covered by homeowners policies.
You can protect your home, business, and belongings with flood
insurance -- up to $250,000 for the building and
$100,000 for contents.
Everyone lives
in a flood zone.
You don't need to live near water to be flooded. Floods are
caused by storms, melting snow, hurricanes, and water backup due to
inadequate or overloaded drainage systems.
You can buy flood
insurance no matter what your flood risk is.
You can buy flood insurance as long as your community
participates in the National Flood Insurance Program. Flood
insurance is a good buy even in low or moderate risk areas. Almost
25 percent of all flood insurance claims come from low- to
moderate-risk areas.
What does
flood insurance cover?
Flood insurance
policies come in three different forms depending on what type of
building you're insuring.
Single-family and two- to four-family homes fall under the
Dwelling policy.
Apartments and
businesses fall under the General Property policy.
Condominiums fall under the "Residential Condominium
Building Association Policy" or RCBAP.
All three of these policies cover flooding caused by any of the
following:
Overflow of inland or tidal waters
Unusual and rapid accumulation or runoff of surface
waters from any source, such as heavy rainfall
Rivers of mud caused by flooding
